Better Together

Before and after the pandemic, Americans faced a public health crisis of another kind, an epidemic of loneliness and spiritual isolation.  The costs have been both internal–measured in feelings of low self-worth and depression–and external, evident in the dysfunctions of violence and incivility that accompany the breakdown of community.
