What to Expect in Worship

This page explains what to expect in a typical worship service. Our services will make you think more deeply. There will be music that touches your soul and readings that are ancient or modern. We often have different services from week to week to meet the needs of various worship preferences.

Why We Worship
We gather in worship to find meaning and live more deeply. Worship creates connections within, among, and beyond us, calling us to our better selves, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion.
How We Worship
From time to time, our worship incorporates holiday celebrations, multi-generational plays and pageants, longer musical performances, child dedications, and coming-of-age ceremonies. We offer childcare and learning programs for children and youth during the Sunday service.
Every Sunday Is Different
We suggest that you attend at least three services so that you can better understand how we worship.
Our worship services are diverse and welcoming, focusing on shared values rather than strict doctrine. Expect a service that may include music, readings, a sermon, and opportunities for reflection, but with a variety of styles and elements based on who is presenting the service. Dress casually and participate as you feel comfortable.
