Today we celebrate 70 years of existence of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Las Cruces. On May 13, 1955, 14 people signed the charter creating the Unitarian Fellowship of Las Cruces. Over the years many people, both lay and professional, have led the congregation from Fellowship to Church, from Unitarian to Unitarian Universalist, from single minister to multi staff church. Our gratitude goes to all those who have assumed leadership to guide us to the present moment. Today we stand on the threshold of a new UUCLC guided by new leadership and new vision and upheld by those who came before.
We honor 22 people who have stayed the course as members for 25 to 60 years. We are blessed by their presence among us.
