Library
A Valuable Resource

We have a wonderful library in the administration wing where the business offices are located. There are more than 2000 cataloged books on the shelves, many of which cannot be easily found elsewhere. Books are available to study on-site or to check out and take home. Persons who are interested in learning more should explore the library’s catalog.
Our library is important because it supports the congregation’s mission by providing resources for spiritual growth, education, and social justice. It offers a space to explore diverse religious and philosophical ideas, deepening understanding of Unitarian Universalism and other world religions. The library also strengthens the community by fostering intellectual curiosity and providing materials for personal reflection and social action.
Education and Faith Development: We sometimes come to the faith as adults, making the library’s role in education and faith development crucial. Our library offers resources on Unitarian Universalist history, theology, and current developments, which may not be readily available elsewhere.
Diverse Perspectives:
Our librarian collects materials that reflect the diverse theological views within Unitarian Universalism and offer resources on world religions, promoting understanding and appreciation of different spiritual paths.
Social Justice Focus:
Our selection of materials supports social justice and includes books and materials that explore issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as resources related to specific social justice causes.
Community Building:
Our library is a space for community members to gather, learn together, and engage in discussions and also offers a quiet space for individual reflection and spiritual practice.
Strengthening Unitarian Universalist Identity:
We provide access to Unitarian Universalist-specific resources that help individuals connect with the history, principles, and practices of Unitarian Universalism.
