Kwanzaa is a celebration of African American culture. It is not a religious event per se, although many churches practice Kwanzaa rituals. In a year that brought much to bear on the lives of black people, we’ll close out 2020 by reflecting on the meaning of Kwanzaa and how it relates to our lives.

We’ll spend some time remembering those persons who died during the year and before. What did those lives mean to us. We’ll also explore ways to keep hope alive as a legacy of those who made our past Christmases special.
