Are you already tired of the heat? Plan to get away into the cool Sacramento Mountains for WomenSpirit this fall, September 17-19. The Sacramento Camp has a brand new classroom building which we will be able to use this year. Our theme is Emerging: Finding Your Way and our workshops will help you do just that as we emerge finally from COVID restrictions.
Rachel Thomas-Chappell will lead an Improv workshop where you join in creating skits that will make you laugh your heart out. Create wonderful dyes-on-silk pieces expressing your emergence with Judy Licht. Let Rabbitt Loring guide you in writing your way out of the spaces and emotions you have been wrapped in for so long. Bead yourself beautiful bookmarks and bracelets with RoseAnn Hernández and Donna Yargosz. Learn Contradance, a New England style country dancing you might know as the Virginia Reel, with Kathy Basler, Rebecca Richins and Mary Whittemore. When you are ready to slow down, Susan Conant teaches Feldenkrais movement which has a profound effect on your physical, emotional and cognitive ability. And Judith Knight will again teach Kundalini yoga, which directs energy and is targeted to bring euphoria and peace. Won’t you join us?
Registration forms are available in the UU Library and on the UUCLC website. Limited scholarships are available by request. This event is intended for women and those who identify as women, at least 18 years of age. If you have questions, contact Sara Thomas.
