This term was coined by Prof. Chester M. Pierce in 1970 to describe certain interactions between individuals where an often innocent action by one is taken as an insult by the other. We’ll look at what passes for microaggression as well as a modern backlash movement that includes ideas from social psychologist Jonathan Haidt.
