12:00 pm--4:00 pm

Edu. Bldg. Great Room

Gregor Mendel passed from this life on January 6, 1884, and is best know as the man who founded the modern science of genetics. His pea plant experiments led to a clearer understanding of heredity. Beans (relatives of peas!) are part of the 3-Sisters-Food-Trinity of the Southwestern Native Peoples, and are a major source of protein. Join us as we explore several heirloom varieties using interesting and different vegetarian recipes. Bring your appetites. Non-alcoholic beverages provided. Families welcome. Beano will be available. Hosted by Jo Ingle and Sally Atkinson
