The Church's Pulse

Long-Range Planning

Go directly to document table

If the heart of the church is the Long Range Plan (LRP), then the Annual Review of the LRP is the church’s pulse-hence the name of this page. Like a pulse, the Annual Review tells us how we’re doing, whether we’re alive and healthy and meeting our goals, and what the prognosis is likely to be in the near future.

This page will be used by the Long-Range Planning Committee to convey a wide variety of information to you, the congregation, about how we are progressing in meeting our short- and long-term goals for the church. This is not where you’ll find budget information, although money is usually necessary to meet most goals. This page is about what we want for our church and how we’ll go about fulfilling those wants.

This page is also the sole source of information about UUCLC long-range planning. All long-range planning documents are located here, you won’t find them cohabiting with the general population of policies and procedures that are found on the page named, not surprisingly, Policies
and Procedures.

This paragraph should either contain the committee’s charter or a brief description of their mandate. We also might want to include a description of how long-range planning will be handled in the future; e.g., there will be annual reviews of the long-range plan and all committees and the Board will be required to up-date the plan.
