How should I dress for worship?
Dress ranges from everyday business clothing to weekend casual. Children should wear comfortable clothing as Sunday school classes are often active and artistically messy. Light snacks are offered in Sunday school. If your child does not want to participate in Sunday school, that’s fine. They can attend service with you or you can accompany them to class. Either way, we want everyone to feel comfortable.
Will anyone explain what I need to do when I arrive?
When you arrive at our church, you will be warmly welcomed by our Greeters as well as many members of the congregation. You’ll be guided to our Greeter’s Table and asked to sign the guest book and fill out a name tag (this is so we can talk to you during coffee time). During the service you’ll be given the opportunity to introduce youself and whoever may be accompanying you to the service. Please join us for coffee and conversation after the service and if you have any questions, our Greeters will be happy to answer them.
How do I find your church?
UUCLC is located at 2000 S. Solano Drive at the corner of Solano and Wofford – 1 block south of the corner of Missouri and Solano or a half-mile north of the corner of University and Solano.
From I-25 if you’re driving from points north or south of Las Cruces
Take Exit 1, University Avenue, and proceed east on University Avenue, away from the mountains, toward New Mexico State University. Turn right on Solano Drive and proceed about a half-mile to the intersection of Solano and Wofford, turn left on Wofford then make an immediate right into the church parking lot on the south side of the church campus.
From I-10 if you’re driving from points west of Las Cruces
Take Exit #142/Main St., turn right on S. Main St.(NM-478 N), turn right on E University Ave. NM-101 E), turn Left on S Solano Dr., proceed to the intersection of Solano and Wofford, turn left on Wofford and make an immediate right into the church parking lot on the south side of the church campus.
From I-10 if you’re driving from points east of Las Cruces
Take exit #144/LAS CRUCES/ALBUQUERQUE onto I-25 N, drive about 2 miles and take exit #1/UNIVERSITY AVENUE, turn left on E UNIVERSITY AVE (NM-101 W) then turn right on S Solano Dr., proceed to the intersection of Solano and Wofford, turn left on Wofford and make an immediate right into the church parking lot on the south side of thechurch campus.
Parking
Please turn left on Wofford and park in the lot on the south side of the church campus. There are parking spaces for special needs and visitors.
