| The UU Affairs Committee transmits relevant information to the church from the Mountain Desert District (MDD) and from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). For MDD issues, the primary means of sharing information is the District Newsletter, The MDD Dispatch. The newsletter is published three times each year and may be downloaded from the MDD website <http://www.mdduua.org>. For individuals lacking web access, a few copies of The Dispatch are placed in the church foyer following each publication (typically in November, March and June). A digest version of the bulletin is available via email by subscription. See the MDD website <http://www.mdduua.org> for details. District information is also shared via a email announcement system (MDD Announce). Any individual may subscribe to this e-mail notification service. Additional info may be found on the MDD website <http://www.mdduua.org>. UUA information is typically passed to our church leaders by the MDD District Executive, Nancy Bowen, or by our District's UUA Trustee, Lyda McHugh Adair. The UUA also maintains an excellent website and publishes several books and periodicals. See the UUA website <http://www.uua.org> for additional information.
