The Caring Committee ministers to the congregation by assisting our minister in responding to the expressed needs, joys and concerns
of church members and friends. The committee raises congregational awareness that caring is the responsibility of all of us. We offer the following services:
- Coordinate and deliver meals for short periods of time;
- Visit members and friends in hospital or at home;
- Phone members and friends out of concern for their well-being;
- Provide short-term transportation;
- Make referrals for short term care when asked to do so by the
family; - Send cards of condolence, concern, encouragement and congratulations;
- Maintain regular contact with our shut-ins;
- Use The Light, NuuS, Caring Corner bulletin board, and email
to inform the congregation about the needs of the committee or
our members and friends
